Daan De Wever

Daan is a visionary entrepreneur and business leader with a proven track record of success in the telecom and cloud-based business communications industry.

Daan began his career in 2001, founding Belgian Network Solutions (Benesol) at the young age of 21, alongside his brother Samuel. The company sold server space for Belgian IRC channels and paved the way for Daan's future entrepreneurial endeavors.

In 2004, Daan played a key role in the successful start-up of Infranea, a 3D engineering construction company, where he served as COO.

Four years later, he founded Destiny, a cloud telecom company that has grown into a leading European provider of cloud-based business communications, with headquarters in Brussels. As CEO of Dstny, Daan has led the company's rapid, yet sustainable growth through a combination of arrowhead acquisition and buy and build strategies, attracting investors like Mentha Capital Private Equity in 2015 and Apax Partners in 2019. Under his leadership, Dstny has expanded operations into seven European countries and now employs around 1000 people, serving over 3 million users with annual revenues of approx. €250 million. In 2021, Daan oversaw a major brand identity change, rebranding Destiny as Dstny to reflect the company's evolution into a full-service cloud-based business communication tools provider. He has also expanded Dstny's reach through cycling sponsorship, with the company becoming the co-title sponsor of the Belgian UCI Worldtour cycling team Lotto-Dstny in 2023.
