Lore is an enthusiastic entrepreneur with a great passion for food and organization.
After her successful Master of Science in rehabilitation sciences and physiotherapy at the Brussels University VUB, she left the medical scène immediately behind her as the world of events crossed her path.
A few years of experience later, Lore rolled into the reservation business for a small but very popular restaurant in Knokke-Heist: Boo Raan. She managed the optimalization of the reservations for 5 years . She reached a yearly booking rate of 110%! We can call her a real expert in hospitality business boosting.
It is from this experience that Lore, together with her co-founder Patrick developed the mobile application YEAT. YEAT is a life saver for restaurants with high occupancy rates. After all, a no-show or a last minute cancellation costs the owner a lot of money and increases his costs for the night up to 10%.
On the user side, there is also a lot of frustration. Planning a restaurant visit months in advance, not matches everyones’ need all the time. Real foodies with respect for chefs and their hospitality teams want to experience different restaurants, but are not always willing to plan. The opportunity value with YEAT is huge at that moment and connects great guests with sublime food at the right time.
Today her start-up involves a community of over 75.000 foodies and collects over 300 restaurants. Lore's motto: let’s make a verb of YEAT.
